About the Peetham
The Datta & Sai Parampara
Sai Datta Peetham is a seat of devotion uniting Lord Dattatreya and Shirdi Sai Baba — two streams of the same timeless tradition of guru-bhakti and selfless service. For more than a decade it has been a spiritual home for devotees across New Jersey and beyond.
The Peetham was opened on Maha Sivaratri, February 27, 2014, established to serve the growing community with daily worship in the Shirdi tradition. Its murtis were consecrated during the Sri Shiridi Sai & Sri Dattatreya Prana Pratishta Mahotsavam, March 21–23, 2014, with the Pranapratishta performed at the auspicious muhurtam.
Worship follows the Shirdi schedule of aartis from the early-morning Kakad Aarti to the night Shej Aarti, with Sai bhajans and satsangs each Thursday, abhishekams through the week, and free archana and samoohika vratams open to all.
